Simply Doll! First win in Oberhof for the german mens team since 2017
Despite a miss at the last shot, Benedikt Doll won the sprint in front of Sturla Holm Laegreid (1/ +1,8 seconds) from Norway and Laegreids fellow country man Endre Stroemsheim (1/ +5,4).
It has been the first win of a german man in Oberhof since Simon Schempp in 2017. „It wasn’t the perfect race today but I’m all the happier for that“, said Doll who conjured up the seventh best time in the Oberhof snow in front of 12,000 fans in the ARENA am Rennsteig.
After the race there was a lot of positive feedback from athletes like Sturla Holm Laegreid and Philipp Nawrath, which praised the work of the organizers, especially the track after the bad weather conditions.
