Talk series "Heroes of the Biathlon": 10,000 euros for Thuringia's young winter sports talent
More than 500 guests came to the eleven events of the "Heroes of the Biathlon" talk series, which celebrated its premiere during the BMW IBU World Championships Biathlon 2023 in Oberhof. The proceeds - around 10,000 euros after all - will go towards promoting young winter sports talent in Thuringia and thus the heroes of tomorrow.
The event series "Heroes of the Biathlon" came to an end with a talk by Andrea Henkel-Burke in front of around 100 visitors in Zella-Mehlis. During the BMW IBU World Championships Biathlon 2023, biathlon legends Simone Greiner-Petter-Memm, Gerald Hönig, Christoph Stephan, Erik Lesser, Katrin Apel, Frank Ullrich, Simone Hauswald, Alexander Wolf, Kati Wilhelm, Frank Luck and Andrea Henkel as well as in Oberhof and the World Championships region gave insight into their successful careers. The participation of hopeful young talents complemented the talks with today's view of competitive sport.
